Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue.

With the consent of both the parties, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present Writ Petition came to be filed with the following prayer:

'For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is hereby prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a Writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondent No.4 in not changing the survey number from 409-2A to 409/ 2A1 as per the field measurement survey sketch issued by him and the same was accepted by respondent No.3 for an extent of Acs.9.35 cents in field No.409, situated at Vanapally Village, Kothapeta Mandal, East Godavari District as illegal and arbitrary'.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that his representation given to the Tahsildar for changing the survey number as per the field measurement survey sketch may be considered in accordance with law. Learned Government Pleader submits that the Revenue Divisional Officer is the competent authority to do so.

Having regard to the above, the petitioner shall make fresh application before the Revenue Divisional Officer-respondent No.3 along with necessary documents seeking correction of the survey number from 409-2A to 409/ 2A1 as per the field measurement survey sketch, in which event, the authorities may deal with the same, in accordance with law and if necessary after hearing the aggrieved persons, if any.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. 7.
