O R D E R

The grievance of the petitioner is that the Joint Collector-cumSettlement Officer, Visakhapatnam, is not disposing of her application submitted on 27.02.2013. The said application was filed under Section 11(a) of the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Area) Estates (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Act, 1948.

This Court sees no purpose served in inviting a response from the respondent authorities as to why the application has been kept pending. It is for them to consider the same in accordance with law and take appropriate action thereon. In the event the application is rejected for any reason, the same shall be disclosed to the petitioner by way of a detailed order.

The writ petition is therefore disposed of directing the Joint Collector-cum-Settlement Officer, Visakhapatnam, to complete the aforestated exercise expeditiously and in any event, not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This order is subject to the petitioner's application not having been disposed of already. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
