Petitioner claims that it is a firm engaged in the activity of research, production and sale of processed agricultural product - Popcorn Maize. Petitioner made an application in Form ANF - 2F dated 08.06.2015 seeking clarification of Foreign Trade Policy accompanied by further application in Form ANF - 2F dated 18.06.2015 and another application in Form ANF - 2F also dated 18.06.2015, which are filed as Exs.P1 to P3 along with the writ petition. The grievance of the petitioner is that under Chapter 9 clause 9.05 of the Handbook of Procedures to the Foreign Trade Policy, the first respondent is required to consider the said applications and decide the same within 10 days. However, in spite of so much loss of time, so far no response is forthcoming from the respondents.

2. Though the writ petition was adjourned on 27.07.2015 to enable the learned standing counsel for respondents to get instructions, she reports no instructions so far. Petitioner's request being only for consideration of his applications, as above, I deem it appropriate to direct the first respondent to consider the aforesaid applications of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ______________________
