ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records relating to and connected with the order dated 08.10.2001 passed in Award ITID No.(c) 54/99 by the 1st respondent-Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court, Visakhapatnam and quash or set aside the same by holding it as arbitrary and illegal.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the petitioner-Port Trust submits that the 2nd respondent-workman has retired from service and therefore, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication. Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
