THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V.BHATT WRIT PETITION No.34430 of 2017 ORDER:

Heard Mr K.Jyothi Prasad, counsel for petitioner and Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

The petitioner prays for the following relief: ".........Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not renewing gun license No.214/Sircilla/2008 and releasing the petitioner's gun 7.65 mm pistol, RP No.174088, GSF-IN-2012 along with 20 rounds inspite of existing life threat to the petitioner and his family members is arbitrary, illegal and in violation of principles of natural justice apart from being violative of Article 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents 2 and 5 to take necessary steps in renewing fun license No.214/Sircilla/2008 and releasing the petitioner's gun 7.65 mm pistol RP No.174088, GSF-IN-2012 along with 20 rounds forthwith which was deposited with the 7th respondent.........."

The Assistant Government Pleader places on record the written instructions of even date together with communication dated 30.10.2017 and submits that the matter is under active consideration of respondents 2 and 5 and decision would be taken expeditiously on the pending application of petitioner.

The statement is placed on record and the 5th respondent takes up the communication No.226/U1/2017 dated 30.10.2017 of 7th respondent and forwards his remarks or report to 2nd respondent on the pending application of petitioner within four (04) weeks from today. The 2nd respondent after receiving the communication from 5th respondent passes an order on the pending application, in accordance with the India Arms Act, 1959, within four

(04) weeks thereafter.

Writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending, shall stand closed.
