ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking to declare the action of the respondent-University in not furnishing the report of the Fact Finding Committee, as arbitrary and illegal. The first petitioner is the society, which promoted the 2nd petitioner-institution to impart educational training in Engineering and other technical courses. The 2nd petitioner was established after obtaining the requisite approval from AICTE and was affiliated to the University. For the academic year 2016-17, the Fact Finding Committee of the University visited the petitioner-institution on 28.3.2016 and rejected its approval on certain grounds vide proceedings dated 30.4.2016. Challenging the same, the petitioners approached this Court and filed W.P.No.17673 of 2016. This Court vide order dated 10.6.
2016 directed AICTE to pass appropriate orders, but so far no orders are passed. Hence, the writ petition. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that in case the University furnished the report of the Fact Finding Committee and points out any deficiencies, the petitioners would be able to comply with the same. He further submits that due to pendency of the said report and approval by AICTE, the petitioners are not in a position to proceed with the counselling process.
Considering the said submissions, the respondentUniversity is directed to communicate their stand with respect to the report of the Fact Finding Committee in writing within ten (10) days to the petitioners. However, it is made clear that the said direction shall not be construed as expression of opinion of this Court.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
In view of the disposal of the main writ petition, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending in this writ petition shall also stand closed.
