ORDER:
Petitioner is challenging the letter dated 18.09.2018 where under he was informed of disconnection of power supply and gave liberty for him to apply for reconnection of power supply provided if he paid 50% of the provisional assessment liability determined in the said proceedings pending determination of the civil liability under Section 154(5) of the Electricity Act, 2003. 2.
During the course of hearing, learned counsel for petitioner placed before this Court the letter written by the Chief General Manager (Commercial) dated 10.10.2018 granting four instalments to pay 50% of the amount assessed. The first instalment should be paid immediately and three instalments with a break of one month each.

Since petitioner was granted sufficient time for payment of 50% of the amount provisionally determined, no interference is called for in the writ petition. Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed. It is made clear that balance 50% of the assessed amount has to be paid in accordance with a decision made under Section 154(5) of the Electricity Act, 2003. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed.
