Heard the counsel for petitioner, and Sri S. Sharath Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader for Home (Service) for respondents.

In this Writ Petition the petitioner has challenged proceedings dt.26.10.2018 issued by 2nd respondent placing petitioner under suspension, pending disciplinary proceedings. 3.

The counsel for petitioner states that the petitioner could be deprived of promotion if the enquiry proceedings are delayed, and therefore, seeks a direction to respondents to initiate and complete enquiry proceedings against petitioner within a reasonable period. 4.

Sri S. Sharath Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader for Home (Service) for respondents, states that the respondents will initiate and complete disciplinary proceedings against petitioner within three (03) months.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to initiate and complete disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner within three (03) months from the date of receipt of copy of the order and communicate their decision to petitioner. No order as to costs.

It is also open to the petitioner to avail the remedy of appeal against the order placing her under suspension, if she so desires. 7.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending if any in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
