HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION NO.38924 of 2018 ORDER:

When the matter is taken up for hearing, counsel for the petitioners had contended that the petitioners have completed five years of service as on 25.11.1993 and they fulfilled the conditions set out in G.O.Ms.No.212 dated 22.04.1994. Counsel for the petitioners further submitted that the 2nd respondent submitted proposals to the 1st respondent for regularisation of the services of the petitioners, but so far the 1st respondent has not passed any orders on the said proposals. Therefore, counsel for the petitioners contended that appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition directing the 1st respondent to pass orders on the proposals submitted by the 2nd respondent within a reasonable period of time and to further direct the respondents to regularise the services of the petitioners as they fulfilled the conditions set out in G.O.Ms.

No.212 dated 22.04.1994. Government Pleader appearing for the respondents had contended that since the proposals submitted by the 2nd respondent in respect of the petitioners are pending with the 1st respondent, the 1st respondent would consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

This Court, having considered the submissions of learned counsel for respective parties, is of the considered view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider the

proposals submitted by the 2nd respondent on 28.02.2018, 10.03.2015, 27.02.2018 and 13.09.2017 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a reasonable period of time, preferably within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
