THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.7366 OF 2016 O R D E R :

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondent No.1 in not considering the request of the petitioner dt.02.03.2016, for extension of parole for further three months. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

The 2nd respondent filed counter stating that the petitioner (Convict No.7726) was granted one month Parole by Government vide G.O.Rt.No.04, Home (Legal) Department, dt.05.01.2016 and he was released on Parole on 08.01.2016; that he was supposed to surrender to the prison on 08.02.2016; that however, the Government has extended another 30 days Parole vide G.O.Rt.No.178, Home (Legal) Dept., dt.06.02.2016; and that the convict surrendered back from Parole to this Prison in time on 09.03.2016, and as such, there are not legal and valid grounds for extension of parole for another three months. Having regard to the aforesaid facts and circumstances, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
