Learned counsel for the petitioner has filed a letter dated 18.02.2019 before the Registry seeking permission of this Court to withdraw the writ petition in view of the assurance given by the Department for considering the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Section Officer.

Permission is accorded. Accordingly, while placing the said letter dated 18.02.2019 on record, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this writ petition shall stand closed.
