IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT HYDERABAD

FOR THE STATE OF TELANGANA & THE STATE OF ANDHRA PRADESH (Special Original Jurisdiction) THURSDAY, THE NINETEENTH DAY OF FEBRUARY TWO THOUSAND AND FIFTEEN PRESENT THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR WRIT PETITION No.3616 of 2015 BETWEEN Vishwa Jyothi College of Education.

... PETITIONER AND The A.P.State Council of Higher Education, rep. by its Secretary and antoehr ...RESPONDENTS The Court made the following:

ORDER:

Heard.

2. Petitioner seeks a direction for approval of the list of the spot admissions by respondent Nos.1 and 2. It is, however, not clear from the record as to whether the ratification for spot admissions is sought with regard to A-category or B-category seats as the ratifying authority for A-category seats is the Convenor and B-category seats is respondent No.1. It is not in dispute that the Convenor as well as the State Government has fixed a cutoff date for receiving representations of spot admissions and, as such, though the petitioner made appropriate applications before the concerned authority before the cut-off date, there is no reason why appropriate orders are not passed by the respective authorities.

3. Learned standing counsel for respondent Nos.1 and 2 states that those of applications, which are received before the cut-off date, will be considered and appropriate orders would be passed.

4. Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of directing respondent Nos.1 and 2 to take appropriate action, in accordance with law, on the representations furnished by the petitioner seeking ratification for the respective categories provided such representations have been received by respondent Nos.1 and 2 within the cutoff date fixed by them and pass appropriate orders expeditiously.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
