HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 37676 of 2015 ORDER:

1) No representation on behalf of the petitioner. Heard Sri Ravi Shankar Jandhyala, learned counsel appearing for 3rd respondent.

2) The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to cancel the agreements entered into between the 1st and 2nd respondent and also direct him to follow proper procedure in issuing public notice and calling for tenders for allocation of the House Keeping Services Contract; and to permit the petitioners to continue the aforesaid services till fresh contract is entered by the 1st respondent after following the due procedure. 3) By an order, dated 20.11.2015, while admitting the writ petition, this Court granted interim order " directing the 1st and 2nd respondents not to take any further steps in relation to award of the house keeping services contract to the 3rd respondent. It shall be open to the 1st respondent University to make ad hoc arrangements for availing house keeping services, but such ad hoc arrangements also shall not be through the 3rd respondent Corporation."

4) At the time when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the 3rd respondent placed on record a copy of G.O.Rt.No.04, dated 02.01.2017.

5) A perusal of the material on record clearly shows that subsequent to passing of the interim order, the Government issued guidelines vide G.O.Rt.No.04, dated 02.01.2017. Pursuant to which an order came to be passed continuing M/ s. Indian Security Force Private Limited, which was entrusted with housekeeping service contract on ad hoc basis, for a period of two years. Having regard to the above, nothing survives for adjudication in the present writ petition at this point of time. 6) Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. In view of the closure of the writ petition, the interim order granted by this Court on 20.11.2015 does not survive any further. There shall be no order as to costs.

7) Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
