THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.RAMACHANDRA RAO WP.No.6981 of 2016 ORDER :

In this Writ Petition, the petitioners assail the action of 4th respondent is not entertaining registration under the provisions of the Registration Act, 1908 on the basis of a notification dt.22.09.2012 issued by 3rd respondent invoking Section 22-A of the Registration (Andhra Pradesh Amendment) Act, 1999 [Andhra Pradesh Act No.4 of 1999] prohibiting registration of lands of petitioners on the ground of public policy.

The learned Government Pleader for Revenue (Andhra Pradesh), appearing for respondents, states that petitioners have not presented the document for registration and if the petitioners were to present the document for registration, then the 4th respondent would pass an order, in case he does not wish to register it under the provisions of the said Act. He also states that the notification relied upon by petitioners has been withdrawn, and subsequently another notification has been issued by 3rd respondent.

3. In view of the said submissions, the petitioners are directed to present the documents which they wish to be registered before 4th respondent within a period of four

(04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and if such documents are presented and if the 4th respondent does not wish to register the same, the 4th respondent shall pass a reasoned order why he is not inclined to register the said documents and communicate the same to petitioners within a period of four (04) weeks thereafter.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No order as to costs.
