THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S. RAMACHANDRA RAO WRIT PETITION No.12231 of 2016 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner in this Writ Petition is that petitioner had presented a document for registration, but the same is kept pending by 2nd respondent as document No.42/2016 since 15-02-2016 without assigning any reasons therefor. 2.

Learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for respondents states that the 2nd respondent will pass orders in case he does not wish to register it under Section 71 of the Registration Act, 1908 (for short "the Act") within four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner.

In view of the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to pass orders giving reasons why he does not wish to register it under Section 71 of the Act in the event he has decided not to register it within four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If not, he shall proceed with registration of the said document under Section 71 of the

Act if the said document is in accordance with the provisions of Registration Act, 1908 and Stamp Act, 1899. No costs.

The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.

5. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
