THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND THE HON'BLE SMT JUSTICE ANIS WRIT PETITION Nos. 24526, 24654, 25044, 25807, 25864, 27208, 27209, 27527, 30339, 30526, 30549, 30718, 30974 and 33537 of 2016 COMMON ORDER: (Per VRS,J) The petitioners in all these writ petitions came up with a challenge to the Affiliation Procedure and Regulations 2016 of the respondent University, incidentally, when their request for affiliation of certain courses was rejected by the University. At the time when the writ petitions came up for orders as to admission, we passed interim orders in a few cases, directing the University to re-consider the issue with particular reference to some courses where we were satisfied that the petitioners had, in fact, the necessary infrastructure. Pursuant to those interim orders, the University has also granted affiliation to some of the courses. Today, the counselling for all the courses, for which the petitioners sought affiliation, is already over. The admissions have also taken place.

VRS,J & ANIS,J WP Nos.24526 of 2016 & batch Therefore, nothing else remains for adjudication in these cases, except to say that in respect of the courses, for which affiliation has been granted by the University after the filing of the writ petitions either pursuant to our interim orders or otherwise, the affiliation should be regularized by the University. In respect of the other courses and the other reliefs, the writ petitions deserve to be dismissed.

Therefore, all these Writ Petitions are disposed of, to the following effect:

i.

The University shall regularize the affiliation already granted to some of the courses run by the petitioners after the filing of the writ petitions, either pursuant to our interim orders or otherwise.

ii.

The other reliefs sought in these writ petitions are rejected. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions if any pending in the writ petitions shall stand dismissed. No order as to costs. __________________________ V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN, J ____________________ ANIS, J.
