V. Raveendra, v. State Of Telangana, Rep. By The Principal Secretary,
HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 19035 of 2016 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Government Pleader for Transport and Government Pleader for Home. The present writ petition came to be filed with the following prayer:
"Issue writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of the second respondent in effecting the change of ownership in the registration certificate of vehicles bearing No. AP 22 TA 6395 and AP 22 TA 6397 as illegal, irrational and illogical."
Though various grounds are raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the Joint Transport Commissioner, Hyderabad i.e. second respondent to consider the representation dated 23.05.2016 made by the petitioner for transfer of ownership of the said vehicles as per the documents, at the earliest. The Government Pleader for Transport submits that he has no objection for the same. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to dispose of the representation dated 23.05.2016, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order, if the same is still pending consideration. There shall be no order as to costs.
Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
