HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.37608 of 2015 ORDER:

The petitioner is an Anganwadi Helper, S.R. Puram Kota Street Center, S.R.Puram, Nellore District. The petitioner is claiming for elevation of status as Anganwadi Worker.

According to learned counsel for the petitioner, petitioner is fully qualified and eligible to be appointed as Anganwadi Worker and as per the policy of the Government, the in-service candidates are entitled to be considered before resorting to fresh recruitment. However, even though petitioner is eligible and even when there is a vacancy available, the petitioner is not considered. 3.

When the matter is taken up for consideration learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Assistant Government Pleader represent that the subject matter of the writ petition is covered by the decision of this Court in W.P.No.31374 of 2015 & batch dated 16.11.2015. Learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the vacancy in the cadre of Anganwadi Worker is available.

Having regard to the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion/appointment as Anganwadi Worker, S.R.Puram Kota Street of S.R.Puram, if the petitioner is otherwise eligible and qualified. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the

date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
