G.Gopi, v. The Kodad Municipality,
HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.34378 OF 2017 O R D E R :
This writ petition is filed with the following prayer: "to issue writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioner for providing compassionate appointment as per G.O.Ms.No.118, dated 18.08.1999 as void, illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment in any suitable post as per G.O.Ms.No.118, dated 18.08.1999 by taking into consideration of the representation made by the petitioner dated 29.08.2017 and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit..." Heard both sides.
Since the representation of the petitioner dated 29.08.2017 seeking compassionate appointment, is stated to be pending before the respondent authorities, without expressing any opinion on merits, the writ petition is disposed of directing the competent authority to dispose of the representation of the petitioner in terms of the guidelines issued in G.O.Ms.No.566, dated 11.08.2016, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
