Heard the counsel for petitioner, and Sri A.K. Jayaprakash Rao, learned Standing Counsel for Telangana State Housing Board, for respondents.

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition assailing a showcause notice dt.20.08.2018 issued by 2nd respondent proposing to withhold pension / pensionary benefits till finalization of two criminal cases registered against the petitioner.

Admittedly, petitioner has submitted explanation thereto on 01.10.2018 showing why pension and pensionary benefits cannot be withheld.

Though counsel for petitioner sought to contend that the 2nd respondent has no jurisdiction to issue the said show-cause notice, I am unable to accede to the said contention.

Therefore, the 2nd respondent is directed to pass final orders under Rule 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Revised Pension Rules, 1980 within a period of four (04) weeks from today. 6.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending if any in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
