THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 21443 of 2016 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies (Andhra Pradesh). Though this Writ Petition is filed seeking a mandamus to declare the impugned endorsement passed by the 2nd respondent dated 18.06.2016, rejecting to consider the representation made by the petitioner to reduce the bank guarantee, as illegal and arbitrary and consequently to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the proceedings under Section 6-A of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, in view of the undertaking given by the learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies across the Bar that within a period of three months, the 2nd respondent would dispose of the proceedings under Section 6-A of the Act itself, without going into the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to conclude the proceedings initiated against the petitioner under Section 6-A of the Act on or before 30.09.2016. No costs. Consequently, the Miscellaneous Applications, if any shall also stand disposed of.
