Heard.

The petitioner questions the order of rejection of his building application by the Cantonment Board as early as on 08.10.2007. The said order is now sought to be questioned after eight years and there is absolutely no explanation much less satisfactory as to why the Writ Petition deserves to be entertained after a long delay and laches on the part of the petitioner. Hence, the discretion does not deserve to be exercised in favour of the petitioner.

The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
