This writ petition is listed as covered by the decision of this Court in W.P.No.18255 of 2010 & batch dated 23.06.2014. The same was disposed of with the following order : "In the facts and circumstances, the batch of writ petitions are allowed setting aside the Memo No.6882/UE.II/2010-01 dated 6.7.2010 issued by the Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education (UE.II) Department, with a further consequential declaration that the petitioners are entitled for pay band of Rs.27400-67000 with A.G.P Rs.9000/- which scale of pay is required to be paid to the petitioners. No order as to costs." 3.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader points out that the difference between this writ petition and the other writ petitions which were disposed of by common order is that petitioners therein challenge an order rejecting the claim by the Government. Whereas in the instant case no such rejection was issued and petitioner is asking for extending the benefit of UGC pay band in terms of the Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.14 dated 20.02.2010 and the judgment rendered by this Court.

Since a declaration is given that the petitioners in the above writ petitions are entitled to the pay band and when it is not disputed that the petitioner is also similarly situated to them, the benefit extended to the petitioners therein shall also be extended to the petitioner herein. It is also appropriate to notice that the W.A.Nos.301 & 717 of 2015 preferred by the Andhra University,

Visakhapatnam, was dismissed by the Division Bench of this Court on 21.06.2016.

Having regard to the above, the respondents are therefore directed to grant the same benefit as extended to the petitioners in W.P.No.18255 of 2010 & batch.

With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
