Heard.

Alleging inaction on the part of the 1st respondent in registering petitioner's complaint, dated 21-10-2014, the present writ petition is filed.

The petitioner states that she is the owner and possessor of the land admeasuring Ac.5-62 cents in Sy.Nos.550/1, 550/3 and 550/5 situated at Saidapuram Revenue Village, Anantapur District, having purchased the same from the 3rd respondent on 11-02-2010. It is also stated that the Principal Junior Civil Judge, Kadiri, granted interim injunction in her favour on 11-08-2014 in I.A.No.608 of 2014 in O.S.No.254 of 2014. However, the 3rd respondent accompanied with his followers indiscriminately cut 55 trees each costing about Rs.5,000/- and took the same. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the 1st respondent on 21-10-2014. Alleging inaction thereon, the present writ petition is filed.

Learned Government Pleader has received instructions from the 1st respondent, which state that basing on the complaint of the petitioner, dated 21-10-2014, a case in Cr.No.6 of 2015 is registered on 24-01-2015 and the investigation is being taken up and recorded the statements of four witnesses. It is also stated that the accused were arrested and released on bail. It is also stated that after completing investigation, appropriate report will be filed in accordance with law.

Though the complaint of the petitioner is of 21-10-2014, crime appears to have been registered only on 24-01-2015. Though there is a delay in registering complaint, in view of the fact that the

investigation is being taken up, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to complete the investigation and file appropriate final report/charge-sheet before the jurisdictional court without any further loss of time. No order as to costs.

The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
