The case of the petitioner is that he is the owner and possessor of the land to an extent of Ac.2-60 cents, Ac-0-97 cents and Ac.1-50 cents in sy.Nos 1607-1608 and 1922-2 respectively in Railway Koduru Village and Mandal, Kadapa District. The said lands stand in the name of the petitioner as per revenue records. In the pattadar column No.16, it is mentioned as dotted lands in resettlement register during resurvey and resettlement operations. Accordingly, lands of the petitioner were included in prohibitory lands list submitted to the Sub-registrar concerned through District Collector. The Government of Andhra Pradesh issued rules under G.O.Ms.No.298/Revenue (Assignment I) dated 17-07-2017, which are called as Andhra Pradesh Dotted Lands (Updatation in Resettlement Register) Rules, 2017 (Rules).

It is also stated that the petitioner submitted claim petitions before the 5th respondent under Section 4 of the Rules and 5th respondent completed the enquiry before Grama Sabha and also issued 'Tom-Tom' notice and called for objections vide proceedings dated 06-02-2018. Thereafter, the Tahsildar concerned shall submit report to the 3rd respondent. But as on today, the petitioner has not received any information as to whether the Tahsildar submitted report to the District Level Committee or not.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in pursuance to the petitioner's application, the Tahsildar concerned conducted enquiry. But inspite of the same, the petitioner's application is not being disposed of. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue submits that it is the 3rd respondent-District Level Committee to take action in terms of the Andhra Pradesh Dotted Lands (Updation in Resettlement Register) Rules, 2017. Since it is stated that the claim petitions filed by the petitioner dated 02-01-2018 and 21-02-2018 are pending, the 3rd respondent has to take appropriate action on the same. In view of the same, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to dispose of and take appropriate action on the claim petitions filed by the petitioner in accordance Rule 4(m) of the Rules. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
