THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.46460 of 2016 ORDER:

In this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent to pass orders upon the caste certificate issued to the 3rd respondent regarding determination of genuineness of the said certificate.

The 3rd respondent is the clerk of the petitioner-Bank and was appointed under ST quota on 06.01.1984. The only grievance of the petitioner is that the dispute regarding the genuineness of the caste certificate issued to the 3rd respondent is pending from 1992 and so far, the 2nd respondent did not pass any orders determining the genuineness of the said caste certificate issued to the 3rd respondent. Hence, the learned counsel for the petitioner confined his argument to the extent of giving a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the said issue by passing appropriate orders.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioner, without going into merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petition pending with him regarding determination of genuineness of the caste certificate issued to the 3rd respondent and pass orders in accordance with law. No costs.
