HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION NO.41149 OF 2014 ORDER: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice C.Praveen Kumar) This writ petition is filed seeking Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondent police to produce the niece of the petitioner viz., Smt B. Mariyamma W/o B. Krishna, who is abducted from the house on 20.12.2014.

It is submitted by the writ petitioner that on 20.12.2014 some persons wearing plain clothes entered into her house and forcibly took her niece Smt B. Mariyamma without a women constable and when she questioned they disclosed that they belong to Central Crime Station (CCS), Vijayawada, immediately she along with her relatives rushed to CCS and found her niece in the illegal custody and on her request, they were very reluctant to give any reason and moreover threatened her to leave the police station. Though the petitioner has time and again approached the CCS, there was no proper response. It is stated that her niece is in illegal custody since 20.12.2014 onwards.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the respondent filed counter stating the petitioner was arrested on 02.01.2015 in Crime No.445 of 2014 and produced before the concerned Court. In view of the above, nothing survives in this Writ Petition, and accordingly, the same is dismissed. No costs. As a sequel, Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
