The petitioners seek consideration of their application, dated 08-05-2015 for conversion of agricultural land into non-agricultural purpose under Section 3(6) of the A.P. Agricultural Land (Conversion of Non-Agricultural Purposes) Act, 2006 (for short 'the Act').

It is stated that earlier the petitioners were granted permission for conversion by the 3rd respondent but the same was withdrawn by the subsequent order of the 3rd respondent in proceedings No.B/1871/2014, dated 18-09-2014 on the ground that a civil suit in O.S.No.410 of 2007 is pending before the Court of the Junior Civil Judge, Miryalguda. The petitioners state that subsequently the said suit was disposed of on 09-03-2015 in favour of the petitioners. Hence, the petitioners once again made an application before the 3rd respondent on 08-05-2015. It is stated that though under the Act, when the time limit is specified, the said application is not yet been considered by the 3rd respondent.

Heard the learned Government Pleader for Revenue. In view of pendency of the petitioners' application, as aforesaid, it is appropriate to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the said application and pass appropriate orders expeditiously preferably within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. _______________________ VILAS V.AFZULPURKAR, J
