Praveen Kumar Pavuluri v. Regional Passport Officer, Sec-Bad. Andano.
THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE SMT JUSTICE KONGARA VIJAYA LAKSHMI Writ Appeal No.1071 of 2016 JUDGMENT: {Per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan} Both Sri K.Venkat Reddy, learned counsel for the appellant-writ petitioner, and Sri N.Rajeswara Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the Central Government, would submit that, since passport has already been issued to the appellant-writ petitioner, the cause in this appeal does not survive.
Sri K.Venkat Reddy, learned counsel for the appellant-writ petitioner, would, however, point out that the Learned Single Judge had imposed costs of Rs.10,000/- to be paid to the District Bar Association, Guntur.
Sri N.Rajeswara Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the Central Government, would express no objection for the order of the Learned Single Judge, to the extent costs are imposed, to be set aside. The order under appeal, to the limited extent costs of Rs.10,000/- were imposed on the appellant-writ petitioner, is, accordingly, set aside and the Writ Appeal is dismissed as infructuous, subject to the aforesaid observations. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. ____________________________ (RAMESH RANGANATHAN, ACJ) ____________________________ (KONGARA VIJAYA LAKSHMI, J) 11th April, 2018 JSU
