THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 6930 of 2015 ORDER:

The petitioner's case is that her father was a freedom fighter and was in receipt of freedom fighters' pension under the Freedom Fighters' Pension Scheme, 1972 (now re-named as Swatantrata Sainik Samman Pension Scheme, 1980) and he died on 20.06.2013. Consequent to her father's death, she made an application on 27.09.2014 to the 2nd respondent claiming benefit of pension under the said Scheme stating that she is entitled to claim pension as a dependent unmarried daughter. Her grievance is that her application is not disposed of till date.

2. Heard the petitioner's counsel and the learned Assistant Government Pleader.

3. As the facts are not disputed, the writ petition is disposed of, at the admission state, with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from today. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
