THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.5111 of 2002 ORDER :

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is reported that the respondent No.2-workman has expired and the writ petitioner has not taken any steps to bring his Legal Representatives on record. In the writ petition, the petitioner is challenging the Award passed by the Labour Court, whereby the respondent No.2-workman was directed to be reinstated into service. Now, in the absence of respondent No.2-workman, this writ petition cannot be adjudicated since the respondent No.2workman has expired. The cause in the writ petition does not survive since no steps have been taken by the petitioner to bring the Legal Representatives of respondent No.2-workman on record. In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
