This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus declaring the action on the part of the 3rd respondent in not considering the representation of the petitioner dated 29.2.2016 for granting annual grade increments for the years 2004-2007, as arbitrary and illegal, and consequently, to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the representation dated 29.2.2016 and grant annual grade increments for the years 2004-2007.

Heard Sri V.R. Reddy Kovvuri, learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Co-operation.

It has been contended by the petitioner that while he was working as staff assistant with the respondents, he was placed under suspension vide proceedings dated 20.10.2003 and his suspension was revoked on 23.3.2005. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the respondents have not released the annual increments for the years 2004-2007 and the petitioner retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.6.2013 and the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents on 29.2.2016 requesting to release the annual

increments for the years 2004-2007, but so far the respondents have not passed any orders.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner contended that appropriate direction may be issued to the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders.

The learned Government Pleader contended that since the petitioner submitted a representation, his representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed. 6.

This Court having considered the above submissions made by the parties, is of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.2.2016 and pass appropriate orders.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.2.2016 and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
