ORDER:

Petitioner, who is a trader, was subject to proceedings under Section 6-A of the Essential Commodities Act and the said proceedings are now stated to be pending before the second respondent in EC Case No.60/2014-S7. Petitioner states that he has been reporting ready for hearing of the said case and has already received two notices fixing the date of hearing as 17.01.2015 and earlier to that on 12.12.2014. However, the said case is not yet taken up and decided. Petitioner states that he is the concerned respondent in the said case and hence, request for all the proceedings to be heard and disposed of earlier, as he has given bank guarantee for the stock and the same requires renewal periodically.

2. In the circumstances, the second respondent is directed to hear and dispose of the said EC case at the earliest, preferably, within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
