THE HON'BLE DR. JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER CRIMINAL PETITION NO.11638 OF 2015 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitionerrespondent No.1 to quash the proceedings in D.V.C.No.163 of 2014 on the file of IV Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad at Erramanzil.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the State and perused the record.

Taking cognizance and issuance of process by the Court below, is appealable under Section 29 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (for short 'the Act'). The same is purport of the decision rendered by this Court in GADDAMEEDI NAGAMANI VS. STATE OF TELANGANA & OTHERS1 4.

It is contended that the Court has no jurisdiction to entertain the appeal. This can also be assailed under Section 29 of the Act.
