Heard the counsel for petitioners, and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue, for respondents.

The petitioners' case is that they have presented documents for registration before the 3rd respondent, and that the 3rd respondent had kept the documents pending registration without doing anything further in the matter.

The learned Government Pleader for Revenue, appearing for respondents, states that the 3rd respondent will consider the documents presented by petitioners for registration in accordance with the provisions of the Registration Act, 1908 and the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, and will take further action in the matter; and if the 3rd respondent is not inclined to register it, he will pass a reasoned order under Section 71 of the Registration Act, 1908, and communicate the same to petitioners.

Accordingly, the Writ Petitions are disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to consider the documents presented by petitioners for registration in accordance with the provisions of the Registration Act, 1908 and the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, and shall take further action in the matter; and if the 3rd respondent is not inclined to register it, he

shall pass a reasoned order under Section 71 of the Registration Act, 1908, and communicate the same to petitioners. No order as to costs. 5.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending if any in these Writ Petitions, shall stand closed.
