O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to lease out the 1st respondent's lands and properties by conducting public auction in particular while leasing the land in premises of Old Bus Stand, Kadapa for construction of Bath Rooms, Toilets and Urinals to fetch more revenues to the Corporation for public use as per Section 148 of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955.

The case of the petitioner is that the 1st respondent-Corporation is leasing out its properties to the 3rd parties without conducting public auction. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition is filed. Sri S.D.Gowd, learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent, on instructions, submits that the term of the existing lease period has come to an end by 31.01.2015 and 1st respondent-Corporation is taking steps for leasing out its properties by conducting public auction. In view of the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent, the lis in the writ petition no longer survives for adjudication.

Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending if any, shall stand closed.
