W.P.No.18264 of 2015 ORDER:

In the present writ petition, the grievance of the petitioner is nonconsideration of petitioner's application dated 6.6.2015 by the 2nd respondent for issuance of police licence for running Snooker Pool and Coffee Shop as arbitrary and illegal.

It is the case of the petitioner herein that the petitioner possesses Trade Licence dated 23.4.2015 issued by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to run the business of Snooker Pool and Coffee Shop at the premises bearing Door No.11-4-156, Srinivasa Colony, Saroornagar, Ranga Reddy district under the name and style of M/s 21st Century Snookers and Coffee Lounge. It is further stated that the petitioner started business in the aforesaid premises and running the same without causing any inconvenience to the general public.

It is also stated that in the first week of June, 2015, the 3rd respondent herein visited the petitioner's establishment and informed that the said business requires prior permission from the 2nd respondent and asked the petitioner to close down the business till obtaining permission to run the business from the 2nd respondent. It is the case of the petitioner herein that immediately on 6.6.2015, petitioner made an application to the 2nd respondent, seeking police licence and also submitted necessary documents including trade licence. It is the grievance of the petitioner herein that though it has submitted application on 6.6.2015, no action has been taken by the respondents herein in the direction of issuing police licence.

In the above background, the petitioner requests this Court to issue necessary directions to the 2nd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner.

Taking into consideration the nature of controversy and having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents herein to take appropriate action on the application submitted by the petitioner on 6.6.2015 with regard to grant of licence for running Snooker Pool and Coffee Shop within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of this order. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
