THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE No.2944 of 2018 ORDER:

The respondent is present in person.

This contempt case was instituted alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 28.08.2018 passed in W.P.No.29377 of 2018. By the said order, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Peddapalli District, was directed to dispose of the application filed by the petitioner within a time frame keeping in view the scope and object of The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue would inform this Court that the respondent, being the Revenue Divisional Officer constituting the Tribunal under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, Peddapalli District, passed order dated 01.12.2018 upon the application made by the petitioner which was taken on file as Case No.G/962/2018. A copy of the said order is placed on record.

In the light of this development, it is clear that the order passed in W.P.No.29377 of 2018 has been duly complied with, albeit with some amount of delay. This Court is not inclined to take a serious view of the delay in as much as the same is not shown to be willful or deliberate. The contempt case is accordingly closed.
