THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.1332 of 2014 ORDER:

This criminal petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, is filed by the petitioner seeking to quash the proceedings in DVC No. 40 of 2013 on the file of the III Metropolitan Magistrate, Visakhapatnam.

Heard and perused the material available on record. While issuing notice to the 1st respondent on 14.02.2014, this Court dispensed with the presence of the petitioner before the trial Court and allowed the Court below to proceed with the trial of the case. Learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to inform this Court about the stage of the case before the trial Court. The case pertains to the year 2014.

Considering the facts and circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:

The III Metropolitan Magistrate, Visakhapatnam, is directed to dispose of DVC No.40 of 2013 as expeditiously as possible. Till the disposal of the case, the interim order granted on 14.02.2013, shall continue.

With the above directions, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. the Miscellaneous petitions pending if any, shall stand closed. ______________ RAJA ELANGO, J February 18, 2016.
