THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V. SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.3302 OF 2016 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief: "The Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ Order or direction declaring the inaction on the part of the third respondent in not finalizing the selections to the post of Anganwadi Assistant, Mulakalur Village, Nuzendla Mandal, Guntur District in pursuant to the Notification No.2/2015 I.C.D.S. ProjectVinukonda dated 14-09-2015 and interviews held on 07-10-2015 as illegal, arbitrary and violative of Article 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India and issue consequential direction to the respondents to finalize the selections immediately and pass such orders as deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of case."

2. Heard Sri D. Krishna Murthy, learned counsel for the petitioner, and learned Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, she is a permanent resident of Mulakaluru Village of Nuzendla Mandal, Guntur District, belonging to Scheduled Caste and passed 10th class. Respondent No.3 - Project Officer, I.C.D.S. Project, Vinukonda, Guntur District, issued Notification No.02/2015, dated 14.09.2015, inviting applications for

the post of Anganwadi Workers and Assistants, earmarked for Scheduled Caste candidates, in the subject Village. It is pleaded that the petitioner has all the required qualifications and she was called for interview on 07.10.2015 and in response thereto, she attended for interview before respondent No.3 on 07.10.2015 with all required documents. It is further pleaded that the petitioner was informed by respondent No.3 that she would be informed of the result of selection later.

4. It is the grievance of the petitioner herein that despite undertaking the above process, the respondents herein have not finalised the selection so far.

5. Despite granting sufficient time in the matter, no instructions have been furnished so far to the learned Government Pleader by the respondents.

6. For the aforesaid reasons, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondents herein to finalise the selections to the post of Anganwadi Assistants, Mulakaluru Village, Nuzendla Mandal, Guntur District, pursuant to notification No.02/2015, dated 14.09.2015, and interviews held on 07.10.2015, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed. No costs.
