Ramasubramanian) The issue raised in this writ petition is already covered by the decision rendered by us in a batch of cases in W.P.No.23893 of 2016 dated 11.08.2016.

Following the same this writ petition is also allowed directing the respondents to grant local status to the petitioner subject to the petitioner complying with the requirement of Para 4(d) of the Circular Memo dated 08.08.2016. Since the first phase of counseling is over, the case of the petitioner can be considered only in the next phase. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
