THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.17248 OF 2016 ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for General Administration (TG). With consent of the counsel appearing for both sides, the present writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. 2 . The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in keeping the application made by the petitioner for empanelment in the list of recognized advertisement agencies pending, as illegal and arbitrary and consequently, direct the respondents to include the petitioner in the list of recognized agencies for giving advertisements by the respondents.

3. Though various grounds are raised in the writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the application made by the petitioner at the earliest.

4. It appears that the representation dated 22.02.2016 made by the petitioner to the 2nd respondent is still awaiting consideration.

5. In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 22.02.2016 made by the petitioner. In the event, the petitioner fulfils all the requisite norms, the 2nd respondent shall take appropriate steps for empanelling the petitioner for issuing the

advertisements pursuant to the notification 30.01.2016. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
