SMT JUSTI CE T. RAJANI CRI MI NAL PETI TI ON No.1 1 1 1 6 of 2 0 1 7 ORDER:

This petition is filed seeking for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, who is the accused in Crime No.330 of 2017 on the file of Narayanaguda Police Station, Hyderabad city. The offences alleged are under Sections 406, 420, 468 and 471 IPC.

2.

Heard the counsel for the petitioner and the Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3.

The counsel for the petitioner submits that the case of the prosecution is that the first accused approached the complainant for purchase of Camera worth Rs.3 lakhs. He gave a demand draft towards the consideration for the price of Camera. When the DD was tried to be encashed, it was found to be a fake Demand Draft.

4.

The counsel for the petitioner submits that the role of this petitioner is not evident, except from the confession of the first accused, wherein he stated that the camera was given to this petitioner.

5.

The Public Prospector vehemently opposes the petition saying that this petitioner is involved in similar four cases in Bangalore, Karnataka and Bombay and that modus operandi of the accused is to cheat people by giving such fake Demand Drafts.

6.

In the light of the above facts, this Court opines that this is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
