2013, directed the respondents to consider the petitioner's application in accordance with law, and pass orders within two months from the date of its receipt, the respondents had considered and passed orders on the petitioner's application nearly two (2) years after the order was passed by this Court by proceedings dated 04.05.2015 and a copy thereof was served on the petitioner only on 04.06.2015. From the affidavit filed by the respondent-contemnor, it does appear that he took charge as Tahsildar only in June 2014 nearly one year after the order was passed by this Court. It is no doubt true that even thereafter there has been inordinate delay on his part in complying with the order of this Court. The respondent-contemnor, who is present in the Court, expresses his contrition, and assures that he would be more careful in future.

In his counter affidavit, he has also tendered his unconditional apology for the delay in complying with the order of this Court. I see no reason, therefore, to take action against him under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.
