Purshotham , Putshotham Raju v. The State Of Telangana
THE HON'BLE DR. JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER CRIMINAL PETITION No.11024 of 2017 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/A.1, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent State, and perused the record.
This petition is filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner/A.1 in Crime No.293 of 2017 of Nalgonda II Town Police Station, Nalgonda District, for the offence punishable under Section 420 IPC.
It is brought to the notice of this Court that A.2 was granted regular bail. There are specific allegations against the petitioner/A.1 that he was working in the Office of DMHO. He contacted the de facto complainant when she submitted an application for Government job in the said Office and promised to procure her a job of ANM and demanded Rs.2,50,000/-. Thereafter, it was settled for Rs.2,00,000/-. Then, an amount of Rs.1,10,000/- was paid. The allegations are grave. Hence, it is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner/A.1 under Section 438 Cr.P.C.
Therefore, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. ___________________________ Dr. SHAMEEM AKTHER, J 20th NOVEMBER, 2017.
