HON'BLE Dr. JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER CRIMINAL PETITION No.10641 OF 2017 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner-A.2 under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to him in Crime No.141 of 2017 of Munugode Police Station, Nalgonda District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 420 I.P.C.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner-A.2, and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-State, apart from perusing the material available on record. 3.

There is record to that the petitioner-A.2 acted as an agent of A.1 by collecting huge money from number of persons on the pretext of investing the said amount in rice pulling and gave it to A.1. The allegations are grave. The matter requires investigation. The release of the petitioner-A.2 under Section 438 Cr.P.C. would hamper with the investigation. There is every likelihood of the petitioner-A.2 threatening the witnesses and winning over them. Therefore, the bail is declined. 4.

In the result, this Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall also stand dismissed.
