THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.40102 OF 2018 O R D E R :

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the respondents have installed KV High Tension wires in the petitioner's land without the consent of the petitioner and also have not paid compensation to the petitioner. Learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents have contended that two cheques were issued in favour of the petitioner, each bearing an amount of Rs.2,00,070/- towards compensation. The said contention is disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

This Court, having considered the rival submissions of both the parties, is of the considered view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to pay an amount of Rs.4,00,140/- towards compensation to the petitioner, for laying High Tension wires in the petitioner's land, if not already paid, within a period of two (02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
