THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. SHANKAR NARAYANA CRIMINAL REVISION CASE No.2945 of 2017 ORDER:

The present Criminal Revision Case is filed by the revision petitioner-accused, questioning the order, dated 25.10.2017, in Crl.M.P.No.536 of 2017 in Criminal Appeal No.1124 of 2017 on the file of the XIII Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Cyberabad at L.B. Nagar, Ranga Reddy District, whereby and whereunder, the request of the revision petitioner to suspend the operation of sentence of imprisonment was conceded, but, however, he was directed to deposit 25% of the compensation amount of Rs.4,60,000/- awarded by the trial Court. The condition of depositing 25% of compensation amount is challenged in the present Criminal Revision Case. Heard Sri Kondapalli Syam Sundar, learned counsel for the revision petitioner.

In view of the law declared by the Honourable Supreme Court in Dilip S. Dahanukar v. Kotak Mahindra Co. Ltd. and another1, the condition to deposit 25% of the compensation amount is reasonable and nothing more is required to be dealt with on the subject or the request herein. There is no merit in the present revision. At this juncture, learned counsel for the revision petitioner requests to grant some time to the revision petitioner to deposit 1/4th of the compensation amount.

1 (2007) 6 SCC 528

The present Criminal Revision Case is, accordingly, dismissed. However, the revision petitioner is granted two weeks' time from today to deposit 1/4th of the compensation amount.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions if any pending in the present revision case, stand closed.
