THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRIMINAL PETITION No.16807 of 2016 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 Cr.P.C., is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.1306 of 2015 on the file of XX Metropolitan Magistrate, Malkajgiri, for the offences punishable under Section 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, on various grounds. During hearing, Sri M.Narasinga Rao, learned counsel for the petitioners, requested this Court to issue a direction to the learned XX Metropolitan Magistrate, Malkajgiri, to decide the matter expeditiously, and to dispense with the appearance of the petitioners before the learned Magistrate on all dates except on the dates when their presence is specifically required.

Acceding to the request of the learned counsel for the petitioners, I deem it appropriate to issue a direction to the learned XX Metropolitan Magistrate, Malkajgiri, to decide C.C.No.1306 of 2015, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than six months.

So far as dispensing with the appearance of the petitioners is concerned, the petitioners are permitted to file an appropriate application, under Section 205 Cr.P.C, after issuing notice to respondent No.2 and, after filing such

application, the learned Magistrate is directed to decide the application on the same day.

In view of the limited request, the grounds urged in the Criminal Petition are not adverted to.

With the above directions, the Criminal Petition stands disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed.
