In this writ petition, the only request of the petitioner is to direct the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the application of the petitioner, dated 02.04.2013, without withholding the same on the purported orders of the 4th respondent, dated 01.04.2013, in proceedings bearing No.

Rc.C1/ 499/ M/ 2013 said to have been served on the petitioner, on 08.08.2017. Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that the application is of the year 2013 and that unless there is a no objection from the revenue department, no permission for quarrying lease would be granted and that in this matter the Assistant Director, Mines and Geology, Kurnool/ 3rd respondent, after due enquiry, has already made a recommendation vide file No.2067/ QL/ 2013, dated 03.11.2017, to the Deputy Director of Mines and Geology, Kurnool/ 2nd respondent for rejection of the quarry lease application of the petitioner and that the 2nd respondent has yet to take a decision in the matter.

Recording the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to take an appropriate and considered decision in the matter as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, within a week thereafter, to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.
